School Talks

We are committed to equipping students with knowledge of global issues, such as poverty, extreme weather events and conflicts, which may seem distant from us yet are causing many vulnerable children in poor countries to suffer. With the vision to nurture global citizens of tomorrow, we welcome invitations from educational institutions ranging from secondary schools to universities for thematic talks (presented in English). Each talk is designed to bring global issues alive for students with the help of multimedia and stories of beneficiaries.


My Birthday Wish – May There Be Peace on Earth? (War and poverty)

  • Explore the connections of war and poverty through the examples of three countries affected by war

  • Learn about how World Vision offers immediate assistance and long-term support to people affected by war

  • Encourage students to be peacemakers in the community


Social Innovation (Technology)

  • Take social innovative inventions as examples to understand how innovative designs can help poor people improve their lives

  • Discuss the importance of community participation in the design process

  • Encourage students to respond to the needs of the poor with concern and action

Notes for booking:

  • To encourage schools to organise extended activities, World Vision provides educational resources support, such as PowerPoints, worksheets, thematic stories and background information. Please fill out the enrolment form, and details will be provided later.

  • Our educational services are free-of-charge.

  • School should provide computer with internet access, projector, audio and visual equipment.
