In recent years, civil wars, armed conflicts and hunger have become more intensive and complex. Children and families are threatened by violence and exploitation, leaving them in great danger. Children dream to be educated and enjoy fullness of life. They deserve nothing less, but this can only happen with peace and stability in their country. In places like Ukraine which has drawn a lot of our attention lately, as well as Syria where a war has been going on for over a decade, numerous children have been forced to flee from their homes. Many even become refugees, get separated from their loved ones and do not know when they can go back.

In some of the world's fragile contexts, such as Afghanistan, Somalia and South Sudan, World Vision has been providing practical aid for vulnerable children who lack the protection they need from their families or society. While life remains challenging for them, we can reach out and accompany them on the road to recovery and building a future.
