"When we said our goodbyes, I cried. We all cried. After, I felt okay because I knew we had come here and everything would be fine." Saying this, with mixed feelings, Ana cannot help but cry in the arms of Elisabeth.
When the war in Ukraine broke out, 9-year-old Ana and her family were forced to separate from her father and fled to neighbouring Moldova. Under the hospitality of Elisabeth's family, Ana and her family have found refuge and need not worry about food and shelter. As a host family, 19-year-old Elisabeth and her mother are grateful to receive cash assistance from World Vision in partnership with the World Food Programme, which enables them to help refugees from Ukraine.
"It's important to help because we are people," says Elisabeth. She is there to help when Ana has problems with her homework, and there to comfort her when she cries. The care and company of Elisabeth make Ana feel like she has gained an elder sister, and they have become close like a family. "When I grow up, I hope to help people who helped me," says Ana gratefully.
Moldova, itself an impoverished country in Eastern Europe, has received over 110,000 refugees who have been forced to flee their homes in Ukraine due to the war. The host families also need support to help the refugees during this difficult time. Will you help more refugee children like Ana to have food and shelter by supporting their host families in Moldova with your red packet?

For Elizabeth and her family, life was good until the conflict broke out, forcing them to flee and lose their livelihoods. Although Elizabeth started to lose her vision due to her age, she persisted in going to the forest to look for wild vegetables to feed the family and firewood to sell, so that her family could have money for food. "We are grateful for the food assistance distributed by World Vision and the World Food Programme each month, which helps sustain us for a few more days," says Elizabeth.
South Sudan has long been affected by climate change and regional conflicts, causing many people to be internally displaced. The loss of livelihoods has plunged them into food crisis, and the situation of hunger and malnutrition is unprecedentedly serious. Give a red packet, and you will be able to provide them with emergency food!
Disasters and conflict have caused vulnerable communities to lose their homes and livelihoods. Therefore, in partnership with the World Food Programme, World Vision has been providing food aid in 11 impoverished countries in different ways according to their situations, including:
*Excess funds raised will support the projects of World Vision in partnership with the World Food Programme in other regions.

Some places in the world are experiencing chronic instability, conflict, and violence, leaving children who live there in a trap of extreme vulnerability coupled with crippling poverty. These children in crisis need our immediate and continued support, and we can all do something to rescue their childhood.
